The breakdown of members this year is as follows :-
Full members - 79
Junior members - 7
Indoor members - 2
Honorary members - 6
Social members - 21
This is a reduction of members from last year, which is
disappointing. All members should be trying to
encourage friends and relatives to come along and
give bowls a try. Who knows, they may enjoy it and
join our Club.
There are 30 friendly games on the fixture card this
year. This is made up of 6 Ladies, 6 Gents and 20
mixed/joint games. These games are very important to
the Club and hopefully members will help the skips
fill their rinks by playing whenever possible. A
copy of the fixture card will be available after
Opening Day (1 per member)
The annual Presentation of Trophies Dinner Dance will
be held on Saturday 21st November and
hopefully members will come along and give their

this year. The Co-operative Funeralcare sponsored

Bellhaven this year and this will be held on Sunday
16th August. The Junior Triples

the financial support from our sponsors.
There was success this year with top class
entertainment performing in the Club at only £3 per
ticket. This will be repeated again during the
season so why not come along and support your Club.
Eyes down for bingo at 7.30pm. The dates will be
displayed on the Clubhouse notice board.
Any member who has an e-mail address, or has access to
one, should give this to Bill Bell, Match Secretary,
as you will automatically receive a copy of the
Glenrothes Gazette report, which is usually printed
each week. It is also a great way to keep members
informed on what is happening at the Club.
The AGM will be held on Monday 14th December
at 7.00pm in the main Clubhouse.
The players who will be representing Markinch in the
Fife competitions this year are listed on the notice

East Fife Indoor B.C.
There was success for the Club at East Fife Indoor B.C.
when we won the Fife Fours competition. This is only
the second time we have won this competition. The
finals week starts on Saturday 18th April
and at this time of going to print there are several
of our members who are playing in the semi-final
stages. They would welcome your support.
